I certify that I am the contestant’s parent or authorized guardian and that the information submitted is accurate. I understand that division placement is determined by the contestant’s age and grade as of November 1, 2026.
I agree that contestants and accompanying family members will follow event, rehearsal, school-facility, and committee instructions. Judges’ decisions are final. Disruptive, threatening, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification and removal from the event.
I understand the applicable rehearsal, attire, photogenic-picture, and titleholder representation requirements. Photogenic pictures must be delivered by November 1 and will not be accepted on pageant night.
I understand that participation includes ordinary event and transportation risks. To the extent permitted by law, I release the pageant directors, Sweet Potato Festival Committee, event volunteers, and Vardaman High School from claims arising from ordinary accidents or injuries. This does not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
I authorize event staff to contact the listed emergency contact and seek reasonable emergency assistance when a parent or guardian cannot be reached. I understand that registration fees become nonrefundable after online registration closes except when the committee approves an exception.
